FSI Endorses Two Members for FINRA Board of Governors Seats

FSI Members Seek Robust Involvement in FINRA Governance

FSI is pleased to endorse Mari Buechner, 2010 chair of the FSI Board of Directors, for a two-year small firm seat on the FINRA Board of Governors. In addition, FSI has endorsed Lisa Roth for a three-year small firm seat. Buechner is the president and CEO of Coordinated Capital Securities, Inc. of Madison, Wisconsin. She has served on the FSI board since 2007 and has been extensively involved in FINRA governance and educational initiatives. Roth is the president and CEO of Keystone Capital Corporation, of San Diego, California, and current chair of the FINRA Small Firm Advisory Board. A FINRA arbitrator for more than 15 years, Roth also has significant past experience in FINRA governance. FSI has made it a priority to encourage and support FSI member service throughout FINRA's governance structure.

FINRA will conduct its annual meeting of firms on Thursday, August 12, 2010, at 10 a.m. in the FINRA Visitors Center, 1735 K Street, NW, in Washington, DC. The purpose of the meeting is to elect individuals to fill the seven Elected Governor seats on the FINRA Board of Governors and vote on proxy proposals submitted by a member firm. It is important that all firms be represented by proxy or in person at the annual meeting.
