Leadership of FSI is a collaboration of volunteers and staff.
Our 14-person 2012 board of directors is led by Joseph (Joe) Russo, chair, and Lawrence (Larry) Roth, vice chair. Joe has over 30 years of experience in financial services and is chairman and CEO of Advantage Financial Group, an affiliate of National Planning Corporation. Larry is CEO of Advisor Group, the nation’s largest independent broker-dealer network.

The FSI management team is headed by Dale E. Brown, CAE, president and CEO, who has led FSI since its founding in 2004. The team includes 5 directors.

FSI has five advisory councils, each headed by a volunteer member who also serves on the board. These councils provide guidance and direction to the FSI board and staff on issues in different areas of the industry: Compliance, Marketing, Growth & Development, Investment Advisory Services, Operations, and Financial Advisors.
FSI also has two task force committees, one for the annual OneVoice Broker-Dealer Conference and another for the FSI Broker-Dealer Study.
